Established in 2013, the Department of B.Com. Marketing has a sanctioned strength of forty. There were just 14 pupils in 2013, which has risen to a total of 101 enrollments now. Even though the Marketing Division was initially partnered with the Department of Finance and Taxation it became a separate department in 2018. This UG course is meant to provide a multifaceted approach to both practical and applied areas of marketing. We are committed to providing a comprehensive development experience that will shape children into academically competent, morally upright, and socially integrated persons. Using real-world marketing concepts, case studies, and examples, we assist students in gaining the ability to think critically and help them become more adept at solving problems conceptually and strategically.
Students enrolled in this stream will delve into a diverse array of subjects including business communication, marketing research, international marketing, customer relationship management, and advertising, among other pivotal topics. By deepening their grasp of the social and economic dynamics at play in both domestic and international markets, the Undergraduate programs in Marketing enable students to be better prepared for jobs in the field. With a faculty committed to academic rigor and a curriculum designed to foster practical skills, our department is dedicated to empowering students to thrive in an ever-evolving marketing landscape.

Strengths and Achievements

Instilled with a desire for consistent improvement, reflected in their active engagement in research and continuous updates to their expertise. Many of our faculty members have their research articles published in renowned National and International Publications, underscoring their contribution to the academic community. The department currently has 3 NET holders, with one faculty with an MPhil degree. The department takes pride in its track record of producing University Rank Holders, with an impressive tally of nine ranks achieved in the year 2023 alone.  The undergraduate programs are designed to train and mold students in all parts of marketing by providing internships at various reputable companies, allowing them to gain real-world marketing experience. The undergraduate curriculum also provides demonstrative workshops in pertinent fields such as Sales, Marketing and Digital marketing. Students are also given practical opportunities for Entrepreneurial development, Affiliate marketing and other associated pursuits

  • ICT-enabled teaching methodology using a judicious amalgamation of Google classrooms, video and audio lessons, online assignments, etc.
  • Consistent Assessments through exams.

Industrial visits providing invaluable real-world experience and practical exposure to boost students’ understanding of Marketing dynamics and insights that enhance their academic learning. We prioritize these experiential learning opportunities to bridge the gap between classroom theories and industry practices providing them an immersive learning journey that is not limited by textbooks.

  • Summer Internship:

Our summer internship program is designed to provide students with a transformative experience that bridges academic learning and professional practice. The internships provide the students a chance to work with leading companies, ranging from multinational corporations to innovative startups in the areas of Marketing ,Sales and Digital Marketing. This exposure allows them to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges, gaining insights into market dynamics, consumer behaviour, and strategic decision-making.

Our Industry Interaction Programs, featuring invited talks from distinguished professionals, are a cornerstone of our educational approach. Our study tours are designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of global business practices and cultural diversity. These tours offer a unique blend of academic learning and real-world exposure, enabling students to observe and analyse various business environments firsthand and ensure opportunities to meet and interact with industry professionals and peers from around the world. The department provides study tour during the final year of the course
