National Service Scheme
National Service Scheme is a Central Government Educational Programme aimed at the personality development of students through community service. The first NSS unit of our College started functioning in 1972-73. Membership of the NSS is open to boys and girls. Students enrolled as NSS Volunteers are expected to work in the scheme for a period of two years. A volunteer who has completed 240 hrs (120hrs X 2yrs) regular activities and seven days special camp in an adopted village is entitled to get NSS Certificate. They
are also eligible to get additional weightage for admission in higher studies. The N.S.S. Certificate holders are eligible for 2 % Grace marks at the University Exam for the performing years (M G U.O. No. 3649/01/ Ac.AVIII /2016 dated 05/07/2016)
